Keto Cake In A Mug

Keto cake in a mug is the perfect low carb treat to eat if you're trying to stick to a Keto Diet and lifestyle. This dessert has only 8 net crabs and will satisfy your sweet tooth.

I personally do not follow a keto diet, but I know a lot of my friends do, or opt to stick to lower carb treat options. I've been wanting to try one of these keto cake recipes for a while now, and while they are definitely not the same as biting into one of these single serve brownies, they will definitely satisfy your chocolate cravings while sticking to your goals, whatever they might be.

Keto Cake In a Mug:

This keto cake in a mug recipe comes together with simple ingredients you can purchase at any grocery store, including Walmart. The main things that set this treat apart are that it uses coconut flour, which is higher in fat and lower in carbs, and Monk Fruit Sweetener. A zero calorie sweetener that is naturally derived from Monk fruit. I like that both of these options are natural and aren't overly processed ingredients but are still fairly inexpensive and easily accessible.

Monk Fruit Sweetener:

Monk fruit is a gourd/melon that grows in Southeast Asia. It is harvested and used as a sweetener because it produces an extract called mogrosides. This extract is 150-200 times sweeter than sucrose and is also zero calories, making it a great option for people who are looking for all natural, zero calorie sweeteners.

How to Make Keto Cake In A Mug:

To make this mug cake recipe you're simply going to combine all your ingredients together in a medium size mug, and then microwave for 60 seconds. I used a ramekin for these pictures and the cake slightly bubbled over the edge. I would recommend using a deeper mug to prevent this from happening.
