Growing up I didn't love mint flavored anything. Then I hit 25 and all of a sudden I became a huge fan of al things mint chocolate. As you can imagine, mint ice cream has also managed to make it's way up the list of my all time favorite ice cream flavors. When McDonalds rolls out with the Shamrock Shakes each year, I'm on board 100%. If you don't want to buy one from McDonals, I've got you covered on how to make a shamrock shake from the comfort of your own home.

Making a shamrock shake is super easy! All you need is some mint flavored ice cream, and some whole milk. Yes, whole. It's better, just trust me. I know food. If you want to jazz it up a bit, add some whipped cream, a cherry, and some green sprinkles. Not a necessity, but it is a necessity if you like to have fun food. Simply blend the milk and ice cream together in the blender, top as desired, and you're good to go!

Instructions

  1. In a blender mix together the milk and ice cream until well combined.
  2. Pour into a tall glass and top with whipped cream, a cherry, and some sprinkles.
